Good coffee is a pleasure, good friends are a treasure :) |
Everyone would be happy when accepting gift, isn't it?
And I strongly believe that every gift from a friend is a wish for your happiness :)
The simplest gift could be just our acceptance, our time or just a little care, then the tangible gift would be a bonus (I truly madly deeply love bonus fyi ;p )
Occasionally, we receive more gifts (especially 'things') in special moments such as birthday, Christmas, anniversary, wedding, etc.
But have you ever give someone else something without any special moment or celebration?
The time when you just see something and when it reminds you of someone, you'd buy it without thinking how much the price you could spend for that thing?
In my opinion, if we give things without any special event, then we should give it to someone special, am I right?
Just like this morning, when my junior high friend informed me about tempting slice cake promo (buy 1 get 1 - everybody loves this!!), the next thing I do was picking some variants and thinking what would 'he likes'.
Well, just like our life is never as easy as breath the air, so does my words is never easily spoken out as fast as I decided to buy those cakes.. #sigh
But then I read what written on the box, "because you are special"
"Because you are special," I said. Finally, I gave that little gift, just a slice of green tea cake.
"Why should I?" he replied.
"..because you are special." Then I smiled and left him. (I believed that my statement was clear enough to be heard twice)
Somehow, the question 'why should I' sounds natural and innocent (makes me wanna punch his head.. or....).. And thanks for the box, I didn't have to say some stupid words such as,"because I love you, idiot!" (these words were really exist in my mind!)
At the end, the only reason needed to give something is just 'because you are special'
We'll never know when will our 'special one' gone forever. But as a life is a gift, so does the memories and the journey in it; with or without that 'special one'.
Be thankful if you have one, and be grateful if you are the 'special one' for someone.
And always remember, 'because you are special' :)
